Susan Raatz Stephenson, MS, MA Ed, RDMS, RVT, CIIP, has been an active member of the sonography community since 1983, when she joined the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. She is registered in multiple modalities and holds a master of science degree in learning and cognition from the University of Utah and a master of arts in adult and continuing education from the University of Phoenix. She has published over 20 print journal articles, book chapters, textbook review materials, registry review materials, and a textbook, Obstetrics & Gynecology (4th edition, 2017), in Wolters/Kluwer’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography series. Through her corporate career, Susan has created online learning materials for Philips Healthcare, Samsung Healthcare, and Siemens, including the Healthineers project. She has taught for George Washington University, Doña Ana Community College, Bellevue Community College, and Pikes Peak Community College. Susan and her dog Mike are a certified therapy team for Intermountain Therapy Animals, often visiting patients in orthopedic rehabilitation and assisted living facilities.
