Frederick W. Kremkau, PhD
Dr. Kremkau is Professor of Radiologic Sciences at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and the University of Rochester. He is currently in his 50th year of academic medicine. He is a Past President of the AIUM and holds fellowship in multiple organizations. He co-directs the annual AIUM Advanced Ultrasound Seminar in Orlando and the annual Thomas Jefferson University Leading-Edge diagnostic ultrasound conference in Atlantic City. Dr. Kremkau authors the textbook Sonography Principles and Instruments, which is in its 10th edition. In his spare time he enjoys family, aviation (FAA private pilot license), swimming (Red Cross Water Safety Instructor), and commercial television operation (FCC First Class Radiotelephone License).
