Nirvikar (Nirvi) Dahiya, MD, FAIUM, FSRU is chair of the division of ultrasound at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He has worked exclusively with ultrasound over the past 22 years, completing his fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University as a key member of musculoskeletal ultrasound subspecialty. Winner of the Larry Mack award for research from the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound and Teacher of the Year award from the Mayo Clinic, he is an internationally known lecturer and educator, and his commitment to ultrasound is evidenced by his involvement in subcommittees with ABR, AIUM, ACR, and SRU. He has over 40 print publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and a textbook. Dr. Dahiya’s love of wildlife photography and pursuit of the “perfect shot” have taken him and his wife on many world travels around the world and has spurred an interest in conservation and wildlife protection, particularly in Africa.
