1. Save the attached file to your desktop.
2. Right click the file on your desktop and click extract (file name is VistaFix.zip). This will create a new icon named VistaFix.
3. Open up the file by double clicking it. There should be another folder inside the first one (HL Vist Fix). Open that one as well.
4. Inside that folder will be 2 files. Right click the “setup” file and click run as administrator (this step is very important).
5. Follow the installation prompts, and when it is finished you will notice a new icon on your desktop called “HLV Compatibility.”
6. Open this file and click on “Enable Vista Compatibility” then close the box. You will notice it stays running in the background. You can open the program again by clicking its icon next to the time on the bottom right corner of the screen.
7. Once the program is running you can insert the CD-ROM and it will automatically start to play. If not, double click the CD-ROM drive and then it will start.

Once you turn your computer off, this program will turn off as well. It will need to be started again before you can run the CD-ROM. If you would like to have the Davies Mock Exam run faster you can copy all the files off of the CD-ROM and paste them into a new folder on your desktop. Then all you need to do is open that folder and double click the “davies11040” file. To save time you could also right click that “davies11040” file and create a shortcut. Once you create the shortcut, drag it and drop it on your desktop for easy activation.

Remember the CD-ROM must be in the drive to run even if you’ve copied the files.
