Working from a remote office in New Zealand where he lives with his wife Jill, Daniel Liota is Digital Media / Customer Service Specialist and Product Development Associate at Davies Publishing Inc., where he wears several different hats. On top of developing the underworkings of our complex website and digital media review programs, Danny also provides enthusiastic and knowledgeable first-line support to ultrasound professionals, educators, and students seeking product advice, fast CME service, and technical information for our CD-ROM products—you may recognize him as your friendly instant chat agent on our website. A hard-charging Notre Dame fan and all-around sports guy (football, basketball, soccer, snow boarding, motorcycle racing, jet skiing, baseball coach and umpire), Dan is built for service and inclined by nature to help people. He lends his hand when he can to efforts supporting those in need, including the annual Honda Christmas banquet, the Honda Ride for Kids with pediatric brain tumors, and tsunami relief—at his own expense he flew to Thailand to join recovery efforts in a village devastated by the tsunami disaster of December 2004. Secretly, though, Danny was born a first-rate chef with a passion for cooking. Doing side events like church banquets and wedding receptions, he gets to enjoy the creative processes of his passion along with making people happy. He cooks regularly for himself and Jill in their New Zealand home.
